Delete Your Mia Budget Buddy Account
You can permanently delete your Mia Budget Buddy account and the data we hold for it from this machine — and from our backend (if you’ve used Community features) — through one of three routes.
1. In the app
Open Mia Budget Buddy and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account and Wipe Data. This wipes your local Community profile, posts, challenges, and subscription cache immediately. Project and on-device data files are also removed (the in-app dialog confirms exactly what will go).
2. By email
Send a deletion request to privacy@sierradigitalforge.com with the subject “Delete My Mia Budget Buddy Account” and the email address associated with your account.
We respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of the request.

What gets deleted
- Your Community profile (display name, bio, avatar reference).
- All Community posts you’ve authored.
- Your challenges, milestones, and per-account preferences.
- Subscription state cached on the backend.
- Any cached AI moderation results tied to your account.
What does NOT get deleted automatically
- Project and document files saved into your own folders on your own device. These belong to you and may live in shared folders — delete those yourself if you want them gone.
- Records we are legally required to retain (e.g., subscription billing records for tax/accounting purposes — typically 7 years).
- Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
Verifying deletion
Once the in-app or email route completes, reopening Mia Budget Buddy will show no Community presence. If you want explicit written confirmation, reply to the email thread and we’ll send it.
